What is the International Baccaleureate (IB) Diploma Programme?

This is a two-year programme targeted at teenagers between 16 and 19 years old. It aims to prepare students for university. Taught in three languages - English, French and/or Spanish.

Where is it offered?

IB Diploma Programmes are mostly offered by private schools.- United World College of South East Asia- Overseas Family School- Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)- Anglo-Chinese School (International)- Global Indian International School- International School of Singapore- Chatsworth International School- Canadian International School- German European School Singapore- Saint Joseph's Institution International- Hwa Chong International

What are the requirements?

Students need to fulfil 3 core components to graduate:Write an Extended Essay of less than 4,000 words on a topic of the student's choice.Complete a Theory of Knowledge course of least 100 hours, including an essay of 1,200 to 1,600 words from one of 10 titles of the student's choice.  Take part in Creativity, Action & Service activities of 50 hours each for a total of 150 hours. This is meant to spur students on to venture into other spheres and activities.
